Make Transport For Wales use Class 68s + Coaching Stock on Cardiff-Manchester services

Make Transport For Wales use Class 68s + Coaching Stock on Cardiff-Manchester services
The Issue
As a frequent traveller between Cardiff and Manchester, I unfortunately have to use the either old and unreliable Class 175 or the new and problematic Class 197 trains which both make for an uncomfortable and often unpleasant journey along the Welsh Marches - something which I and other rail users quite frankly consider to be a complete and utter aberration.
If it is not uncomfortable and cramped trains, with Transport For Wales clearly unable to understand that a two car train running between South Wales, Manchester and North Wales is not a good idea as it leads to overcrowding and, more often than not, heated rows from 'that's my seat!' to 'this is anti-disability, this is discrimination and oppression!'
My petition, therefore, is to make Transport For Wales do the one thing which they've so far refused to - draft in Class 68 and Mark 5 coaches for services along the Welsh Marches and to double up two-car services to four-car services (even outside peak times). This will allow for more passengers, more space and more revenue and overall journey satisfaction.
It will cost almost nothing to bring these trains, well suited to long-distance travel into service along the Welsh Marches and they would be a most welcome addition to the Transport For Wales train fleet.
Therefore, let us demand that Transport For Wales actually listen for once and bring the Class 68 and Mark 5 Coaches over to Wales for use on the Welsh Marches.
