We are calling on the Isle of Wight Council to urgently install speed bumps or other measures to slow traffic on the road leading up to Carisbrooke Castle. In the evenings and at night, groups of drivers race from the bottom of the hill to the top, creating dangerous speeds and excessive noise that disturb residents of Castle Hill and Castle Lane. This is not just a nuisance — it’s a serious safety risk, and action must be taken before someone is hurt.
