Hello,

There are now fewer than 20 vaquitas on the planet, and they will be extinct within a couple of years if urgent action is not taken now. We need to keep the pressure on Mexico's government, as well as others, to increase enforcement of the gillnet ban in the vaquita's habitat in the Sea of Cortez. To do this, we need to build more public awareness and support for this extremely unique species, and there is no better day to do this than International Save the Vaquita Day 2019, which falls on July 6. Events around the world will be educating the public about the vaquita, so it is a perfect opportunity to show the authorities involved that we really do care. We will not let the vaquita go extinct.
