Yesterday, 7th August 2023, an 8 year old boy tragically died on the B1398 at the junction B1205, Kirton Lindsey. In 2019 a man sadly died at this crossing. In 2014 there was another fatality. There have been 21 serious injuries recorded here, and 32 recorded instances where other injuries have taken place since 2010. 

The crossing is known in the nearby community, with many feeling it is dangerous and urgent changes need to be made to make it safe for road users. PLEASE SIGN TO HELP BRING ABOUT CHANGE.

We ask that the Lincolnshire Council or potentially the North Lincolnshire council (as it is on the border) can please work together in making sure more people do not die here. Can a lower speed limit be applied here? Or traffic lights? Perhaps a staggered junction? Anything that makes it less likely for another family to not have to be without a loved one.
