Make Swimming and First Aid Education Compulsory in Bangladesh Schools

The Issue

We, the founders of FASAO – First Aid and Swim Awareness Organization, are deeply concerned by the tragic incidents of children drowning in Bangladesh. Nearly 14,000 children die every year due to drowning, as reported by UNICEF, largely because of a lack of swimming skills and first aid education. We are calling upon the government to incorporate swimming and first aid training as mandatory elements in our school curriculum. Having personally lost our cousin brothers to this avoidable mishap, we know the pain these preventable tragedies cause. By equipping our children with these crucial life-saving skills, we can drastically reduce accidental fatalities and ensure a safer future for the younger generation. Now is the time to protect our children. Join us in urging our policymakers to enforce this urgent educational reform. Sign the petition to express your support.
