We wanted to thank you for all the support and the new signers here!  In the last 3 weeks since our billboard event, close to 1,200 new folks have added their names to this petition.  Welcome!  

Our coalition's protest at Seafair last Saturday was bigger than ever--150+ turned out to march, sing, and speak out at lunch time ahead of the fighter jet show that day. It was incredible and thank you all who supported near and far.  We read comments out loud from many of the signers to share the many reasons people have joined together.  Please check out the posts on Instagram if you are on social media (@no2blueangels) and there will be more coming soon sharing more from the incredible speeches and conversations. 

In the press coverage before during and after, Seafair the organization stated that the show will continue next year. We were surprised to hear that presumption, implying the City and others are just rubber stampers vs. also having a say.  The opposition is growing louder and not going away. 

I've seen social posts from many folks using the Real Change News oped as a great source of all the reasons to end the jets--check out the online edition and search for "no blue angels" to find the link. 

Some of us will be attending the City's Special Events Committee meeting this Thursday to present the updated petition and to report back on the recent events - and again ask the committee to reject the permit.  So please spread the word to get more folks signed on between now and then!
