2. Mr. Barrios would like to discuss the option of paying with cash at events and for fees. Currently, the Board has recently allowed cash for sports events. Mr. Barrios and other Board members expressed concerns from the public about not having a cash option. Community members spoke out and complained about fees being attached to the cashless system, even though they had no option to use any other form of payment. The Board allowed cash at sports, but will now discuss allowing cash for fees and other things at schools. The district’s goal is to move to a cashless district, as other districts in the state have already accomplished.
