The issue

School is a very stressful time for lots of young children and their well-being. It has had a negative impact on young peoples mental and physical health.

Going to the same place 6 hours, 5 days a week is not ideal for most young people. It is tough. By signing this petition it would create a new curriculum of only 4 days instead of 5 each week.

On this extra day, students can take a break to relax, catch up on some homework or social activities. Teachers can prep and plan the rest of the week on this day off, or even have a mental health day of their own so they can rest. Personally, I understand the needs of going to school 5 days, 6 hours a day, however if students are capable of completing work in the shorter amount of time, then there is no need for an extra day.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why doing 4 days instead of 5 would benefit for young people.
