Dear Supporters
Thank you all for signing and speaking up for the poor animal which was almost certainly killed at the 2025 Royal Easter Show Rodeo.
Yesterday, in the New South Wales Parliament, a motion was put forward congratulating the Royal Agricultural Society for a "successful show", and offering glowing praise for the event. Those supporting the motion included Agriculture Minister Tara Moriarty, whose role encompasses animal cruelty.
No mention was made of any death or injury to a rodeo animal. That obviously just did not matter to the Minister or other elected representatives.
YOUR VOICE CAN CHANGE THAT.
I urge you to contact Minister Moriarty: tara.moriarty@parliament.nsw.gov.au, phone 7225 6120, and/or Premier Chris Minns, 7225 6000, and tell them that the blithe disregard of animal deaths and injuries in so-called entertainment is not acceptable in today's society.
There must be a full inquiry into the protection given to rodeo operators and the secrecy under which they are allowed to shield their cruel treatment of animals.
Thank you again for your support, and please keep sharing this petition.
Thanks also to Animal Liberation NSW for the above photo.
