Turiba University students, who make up a sizable proportion of TU students, are frequently disregarded and discriminated against when they inquire about something. Students at TU Hostel have long requested pest control and professional bed bug cleaning. However, they frequently receive the same reaction from the staff: "You need to clean your room."

 

Let’s dive a bit deeper into this. 

In this hostel, bed bugs and infestations have long been a concern. Despite routine staff checks to ensure the room is clean, we are unable to enjoy a good night's sleep owing to infestation issues. When students question if there is an issue with their rooms, but when the students responds that there are bugs and infestations in the kitchen and washroom, which are maintained and cleaned regularly, then they don’t have any answers.

In general, there are four students residing in a single room and there are 400~ room in a single complex. So to calculate some data about how much they earn each month from just the hostel fees:

**Here we will use the minimum price of the rooms and minimum no. Of students in each room**

2 person in a room x 75 euro fees per person

2 x 75 = 150 from a single room

150 x 350rooms = 53000€~ a month just from one complex 

53000 x 12 months = 636000€~ annually 

If a institution is earning the larger amount of money but are still ignored for an infestation and disinfection every 6 months that students ask for. 

There is no time to waste and many of the students are facing health issues because of this problem like insomnia and mental issues.
