People currently in NY state who want to go to college struggle to pay, especially lower class families. These people usually end up not going to college or get student loans piled onto them. This makes their lives much harder and can be bad.

     If things stay like this education rates could drop. These drops could become steeper if college gets even more expensive. Employment rates would also drop from people not being able to do jobs. Worse case unqualified people do important jobs which could lead to bad things.

     Now is the time to act and solve this problem. One way to do this is to tax households with an income of or over $325k a year. This tax money would go to funding schools so they can lower their tuition and acceptance rates. This tax could also go towards scholarships and gift aids. I wish for this to be solved so that I and kids my age eventually don't have to worry about being able to afford college!
