Mario and Princess Peach are so cute together! It was always hinted throughout the games that these two like each other but are never shown to end up together officially. However, she did kiss him on the cheek many times throughout the games which is very cute. Fans, including myself, really wanted to see these two end up together officially for years.

However, since Nintendo, Illumination, and Universal are now doing official movie adaptations of the beloved Super Mario franchise, this could be our chance to finally get what we wanted!! But I'm still worried and concerned that they'll keep these two apart like how they do in the games!

There have been two movies so far: "The Super Mario Bros Movie" (2023) and "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" AKA "Super Mario Bros 2" (2026). Both of them were great although I thought the second movie was WAY better! In fact, I actually prefer the second movie over the first one! It's definitely the best Super Mario movie yet!! I heard there's a "Super Mario Bros 3" in the works and probably even more movies after that!

Mario and Peach don't seem to be an official couple yet nor have they even confessed their feelings for each other properly either but I think we're starting to get very close. They're obviously shown to have feelings throughout both movies which is something that their friends even notice as well. Not only that, but they seemed to have bonded a little bit more in the second movie than the first one. And to top it off, Peach finally kissed Mario on the cheek at the end of the second movie which was very cute and adorable! It seems to be a step in the right direction! Like I said before, since there's a third movie happening and beyond, this could be their chance to make Mario and Peach end up together officially in the near future!

While it's understandable that they don't show them as an official couple in the games—focusing on action and adventure—the movies offer a different narrative space. Movies engage viewers with character development, emotional arcs, and evolving relationships. The cinematic portrayal allows the audience to experience a more immersive storyline, and solidifying Mario and Peach as a couple would add a definitive layer to their story.

It's time they share a clear romantic storyline, like many beloved animated couples before them. Their relationship must be recognized and celebrated, especially since Mario and Peach are among the most enduring and beloved characters in the gaming community. Seeing them together as an official couple would not only honor their decades-long connection but also provide fans a satisfying emotional journey. Movies are a platform where dreams can come true, where beloved characters can express more profound narratives. Also, I really think they should Mario and Peach kissing on the lips which never happened in the game franchise yet. Not only that but maybe also have Mario propose to Peach and getting married to her which is another thing that many fans, including myself, would love to see!

We need to seize this opportunity in the upcoming third movie or any other ones after that to reflect their love story fully. Let’s rally together and show Nintendo, Illumination, and Universal that we care about this aspect of their story and how much it means to fans everywhere.
