M3GAN is a sci-fi horror movie that was first released in 2023. Here's a brief summary: The story focuses on a gifted toy robotics engineer named Gemma who works with this toy company called FUNKI. She and her coworkers develop a special AI robot prototype called M3GAN which stands for Model 3 Generative Android. Then she becomes the guardian of her niece Cady who just lost her parents in a terrible car accident. Gemma starts to struggle with her career and taking care of Cady. Then she comes up with an idea: She and her coworkers make the M3GAN prototype into an AI lifelike doll and pair her with Cady to help Gemma take care of her. Cady loved M3GAN so much and ended up spending so much time with her. However, two problems come up: Everyone including Gemma start to get concerned that Cady has become to attached to M3GAN. Also, M3GAN starts to take her directives too far and ends up being too overprotective of Cady. I'm not really a fan of horror movies but M3GAN was one that caught my interest. Not because of the horror genre but because of some of the story and concept which I found very cute and touching. One of the things that interested me was how M3GAN turned against everybody. It didn't seem M3GAN was totally evil; she just misunderstood her directives from Gemma and was just trying to help take care of Cady. I really wished they didn't make M3GAN a monster!! I really think the story could've been done differently somehow without any of the horror. In fact, a certain YouTuber created a video called “What if M3GAN was a Family Movie?” I think that's exactly the kind of genre that this movie should've been!! I really wished M3GAN was a family-friendly movie instead of horror!! However, in 2025, the sequel M3GAN 2.0 was released. Here's a brief summary:  After 2 years since the disaster with M3GAN, Gemma, her coworkers, and Cady find out that an AI android called AMELIA, who was just like M3GAN, was working for the military, turned against them and is now taking orders from no one. Not only that, but they also find out that M3GAN was still alive through all their home tech gadgets. She felt bad for everything she did in the original movie and wanted to make up for it by helping everyone stop AMELIA. Realizing they had not choice but to trust M3GAN, they bring her back in a new android body. M3GAN, Gemma, her coworkers, and Cady go on a mission to stop AMELIA. The AI android doll finally meets her match! I was expecting it to be a full horror movie like its predecessor but to my surprise and delight, it ended up being a sci-fi action movie instead!! It actually wasn't so much a horror movie like the original. Yes, it still wasn't a family-friendly movie like I mentioned before but I still loved how it was less scary and horrific and also more epic and action packed! It also has a bit more humor as well. Not only that but M3GAN wasn't a villain anymore; she was now the hero and a friend to everyone!! I liked her much better that way!! I always wished they made M3GAN the hero and I actually came true!!  I slightly heard there might be a M3GAN 3 in the works but it might go back to the full horror genre like the original. We can't let that happen!! Since the third movie probably won't be a family-friendly movie like its predecessors, I really think they should at least stick to the kind of genre that M3GAN 2.0 was!! But if M3GAN 3 really ends up being a full horror movie, then I think they should at least keep M3GAN the hero and a friend!! I have no idea what's going to be the story with M3GAN herself if she's staying the hero or becoming a monster again like in the original. It wouldn't make sense if she turned evil again after everything that happened in the second movie!! Let's urge Universal Pictures and Blumhouse to make the possible upcoming M3GAN 3 less scary and horrific like 2.0!! Please sign and share the petition if you also agree on all this!!
