My name is Taylor. I live in Jindabyne in NSW. I am starting this petition after hearing countless stories of sexual assaults, drink spiking and women being stalked through their air-pods.

Just recently, my best friend was assaulted while walking home at night. 

This is why I am calling on the Snowy Monaro Regional Council to make Jindabyne safe: install street lighting and provide more public transport options at night.

We also want to hold the pubs accountable when kicking out customers, which often occurs without them offering a safe passage home, which is a requirement under the liquor licensing. 

Installing street lights and providing transport options at night will make everyone in our community safer. 

We do not want our beautiful town to be a place where women and men are too scared to walk home at night. We as a community need to hold the council accountable and call loudly for these changes.

The community is fed up with feeling unsafe. Please join me in calling for this change.
