Make it's mandatory to teach BSL in schools

The Issue

The study of BSL will help students to develop ways of expressing and negotiating meaning through visual spatial language, communication and visual memory skills that will be an advantage to them for the rest of their lives. Around 50,000 people in the UK use British Sign Language, so why is this not taught in schools? There are many children who are born deaf or are non verbal,  we need to give them a better chance at a more integrated future. This is why BSL needs to be taught in schools

Accessibility Issues: Not all public places or media platforms provide BSL interpretation, making accessibility a challenge.
Lack of Awareness: Many people are not aware of BSL, leading to a lack of understanding and acceptance in wider society.
