TO THE HONOURABLE THE SPEAKER AND MEMBERS OF THE
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

This petition on behalf of Australians, draws to the attention of the House to the issue of it becoming very hard to own a home even after a family has full time working honest couples.

To make our Australian dreams come true we petition the government to bring into place a tax law which allows interest in owner occupied homes to be tax deductible for a family.

This is an ethical approach the government can take to help everyday Australians out in this cost of living crisis. I don't want to live in constant fear of losing my home. To build a happy society this is absolutely essential and has been implemented by various countries where the government recognizes that shelter is a basic human right. 

We therefore ask the House to:

MAKE INTEREST ON OWNER OCCUPIED HOMES A TAX DEDUCTIBLE EXPENSE.
