Animal abusers do not discriminate between their victims. For them dogs, cows, monkeys and elephants are all the same.

This petition is for dogs and the primary purpose of this petition is to stop cruelty against the man's best friend.  But one can't fight against the system without bringing to light the cruelties which are happening to other animals. Because animal abusers are not selective. Today they are harming one animal, tomorrow they will harm another animal and if not punished and penalised then the same people wont budge from harming women and children.

India is not considered very safe for women and children. The law makers of India should be smart enough to know the reason why?????

If even now they can't make out then God save India.

Cow is the most revered animal. She is even worshipped by many in India. She is addressed as Gau Mata (Cow Mother). That is so because majority of the children in India both in villages and cities have grown up drinking her milk. Her milk is considered the best even for a new born infant. Cow dung is used in various religious rituals and her urine in Ayurveda is considered to have medicinal properties.

Anyway this is one animal which the majority of the Indians can't even think of hurting because hurting her means calling upon the wrath of Gods.

But the scenario has changed. Many do not consider cow holy anymore and are not scared of Gods. They find sadistic pleasure in hurting her even to the extent of killing her.

A horrific incident has been reported from Bilaspur, Chattisgargh. A tractor driver deliberately ran over his tractor on the sitting cow. The cow was crushed ruthlessly. Kindly watch the video to believe that people of such a mindset freely walk on the streets of India:

Just imagine what kind of a mindset the driver of the tractor must be having that he deliberately killed a harmless soul. Dogs at least bark and bite but cows are the most tolerant animal. This is another reason why she is addressed as mother.

Just few days back Amul, the largest dairy manufacturing unit of India wrote to the Prime Minister seeking ban of Peta India saying that they are conspiring against them. That they are spreading bad rumours about dairy industry because cows are treated as family members by their owners and hence no cruelty is happening to them.

Is cow really being treated well? Is she being treated as family member?

The truth is that not all treat cows as family members. Once she is milked she is left to roam on the streets and garbage bins to find food for herself (pic in the post). This is a very common sight in India. She eats all filth and dirt. Some kind hearted people go to these garbage bins and give food and fodder to the cows. But they are very few in number and here again the govt has made no provision for them. No water pots installed and no food stations for them. These voiceless souls are forced to eat garbage.

In another incident a pregnant cow was hit by a vehicle on a road in Madhya Pradesh. Was she hit deliberately by the driver or it happened accidently one does not know:

A cow was hit with a bhaala (spear with three iron spokes) on her back and two iron wires were inserted in her nostrils. The injury on her back was so bad that maggots were all over the injury. Kindly go on the link below to watch the horrific pain the cow must have gone threw. Needless to say the pain inflicted on her must have been made by her human family members:

According to animal rights activists and various animal welfare organizations like Peta and PFA cows are being exploited by their owners for money. They are forcefully and artificially impregnated which causes immense pain and torture to them. Their young ones are deprived of their milk because their human owners sell the milk to make money out of it. The male calf is of no use so as soon as he is born he is either abandoned to die on the streets or is sold to a slaughter house. To increase the milk production she is given injections which further destroys her health.

Is this how a mother should be treated?

Well the picture is very clear. For many cow owners in India cow is no more the revered animal. It is just a means for making money. And once she is of no use they dump her on the streets to die.

Not just that even when she is giving money to her owners and while she is still lactating and capable of becoming pregnant she is  not taken care of. For food and water she has to roam on the streets and garbage bins.

Many times she is hit by vehicles and dies a painful death. Some drivers do this deliberately and some by accident. One just cannot believe that humans can be so cruel.

It's time Govt came out to the aid of the cow which is considered mother by many. These are some of the measures it can take to make her life better:

1  Make stricter animal laws and create awareness about these laws among the common man of India so that no one either intentionally or unintentionally ever tries to harm them.

2 Put hoardings on roads that the drivers should drive carefully. Hitting an animal intentionally or unintentionally shall lead to legal punishment.

3 Amend animal laws and penalise the owners for not taking care of their cattles. If they are making money out of them then they have a responsibility too towards them. These responsibilities should be well defined in legal terms. They should be penalised for leaving their cattles on the streets to die.  They should be punished for abandoning their cows on the streets once they are of no use to them.

4 Food stations and water pots should be installed near every garbage bins and areas where cows and other cattles live so that caregivers and people desirous of feeding cows may give food and fodder to them. Many times the owner due to paucity of funds may be incapable of feeding his cattles so for such owners this kind of help may prove beneficial.

Its time the Indian government came out with practical solutions to counter the problems of street animals. We can't have urbanisation without making sufficient provisions for our street animals. This goes both for cattles and the man's best friend.
