Today is 2nd October the birth anniversary of our dearest Bapu whom the world knows as Mahatma Gandhi. This is how Albert Einstein the genius scientist described him. "Generations to come will scarcely believe that such a man ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth"
So true was the analysis of Einstein about this great man. Mahatma Gandhi used to say that he has two lungs:Ahimsa (Non violence) and Truth and he cannot live without them.
Unfortunately both non violence and truth have become virtues of the past for many Indians.
An old man in a village in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh has been seen beating a dog brutally with a stick and then tying his legs with a rope and then dragging him mercilessly. To watch the act of non violence against a voiceless, harrmless and helpless creature kindly go on the link below:

An adult dog has been crushed under the car and a pup died after being run over by a tempo. .Street dogs mostly die such a painful death. They often sit and sleep under the car to save themselves from scorching heat. And many times they come under the wheel when the driver without any warning just starts the car and moves away. In most of the cases the drivers knowingly run the wheels over the sleeping dog whether it be a truck, tempo, car or a taxi. They neither apply brakes not stop to check the injured dog. Kindly go on the following links where such incidents have taken place.

In spite of there being a law which says dogs cannot be killed and they cannot be traded for their meat still such things are happening. In a place in Shillong dog meat was being sold and it seems dogs were brutally murdered in the most torturous manner. Kindly go on the following link to read the full report:

A bunch of ladies in West Bengal.took out a procession against street dogs. The banners they held during the match said "kill street dogs" It seems these women have nothing else to do. There is a saying "empty mind is a devil's workshop". This is the best example of it:

Are majority of the Indians following the footsteps of Bapu?
Today is a national holiday to celebrate the Father of the Nations's birth anniversary. But unfortunately the celebration is only for name sake because the majority of the Indians neither practice non violence nor honesty........
