On 26th August 2020 a video got viral where a woman was seen killing a small pup with her sandals in a moving car. The accused (Pooja Dhillon) later tried to refute the video along with her husband by saying that it was not her in the video and someone was just trying to malign her. But no matter how hard the culprit tries but the truth ultimately gets revealed so in this case too it was established that the woman in the video was Pooja Dhillon. The Lucknow police did arrest her but soon let her go. According to the animal rights activists Kamna Pandey the police as usual are under a lot of pressure. Apparently the accused has committed many such offences in the past as well, hence this makes her a repeat offender. And for repeat offenders the law has separate provisions but due to her influential background the UP police has not booked her appropriately. This lady is not normal. The way she has killed the puppy she seems to be mentally sick. Her right place is mental asylum as she is a threat to humans as well.

The people of Uttar Pradesh were just trying to get over this terrible incident when today they were again shocked and this time by the decision of the Allahabad high court.

On 28th August 2020 the court directed the Municipal Corporation of Prayagraj (old name Allahabad) to remove all the stray dogs and animals from.the streets of Prayagraj (Allahabad,). The order was passed by Justice Sidhaarth Verma and justice  Ajit Kumar. The Supreme Court of India which is the Apex Court of India has already said that no stray dog can be relocated from.the streets of India hence the order given by the High Court of Allahabad needs to be reviewed and revised.

Let's hope that the honourable judges in this case will relook into their order and do justice to.the voiceless who is just being punished for no fault of his. If the population of stray dogs has increased over the years in Prayag (Allahabad,) then who is responsible for it?

If the ABC rules came into effect in the year 2001 then why has it not been implemented in India? Why are the corporations fooling the people of India? Why aren't they running the programme and controlling the stray dog population in India?

Removing dogs from cities or towns of India is no solution to either curb the dog population or to eradicate canine rabies.

The good news is that Advocate Katyayani has already filed an application in the Allahabad High Court for reviewing this order. For details of the report kindly go on the link below:

Let's hope the honourable judges do justice to the voiceless by not making them homeless and by reprimanding the corporation and the administration who are actually responsible for all this chaos and confusion which has probably led to such a decision.
