Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has surprised the world by his appeal to feed the stray animals especially dogs, monkeys and birds during the lock down period in India.

Kerala is the same state which butchered thousands of stray dogs by the govt order in the year 2015.

It's a delight to see such a wonderful change of heart and perception of the government towards the man's best friend. The best part is that the Collector of the Ernakulam district S. Suhas went out to feed the stray dogs in Kochi (pic in the post).

Watch this video where the police personnels are playing and feeding the man's best friend. What a remarkable change in the Kerala administration.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was one of the  first CM in India to make a public appeal to feed the stray animals during the 21 day lock down in the country.

The impact of it can be seen in his state. The JMC (Jaipur Municipal Corporation) in collaboration with animal welfare NGOs and individual donors are feeding the stray animals in Jaipur ( the capital of Rajasthan)

According to the JMC commissioner Vijay Pal Singh the corporation with the help of few animal welfare NGOs like Akshay Patra and Shri Krishna Balram Seva and individual donors are feeding around 15000 chapatis daily to the stray animals. The animals include dogs, cows, monkeys and birds. The corporation is also planning to use the leftover fruits and vegetables for feeding the cows.

Jammu is another state of India which not only told its people that animals do not spread COVID 19 virus into humans but also appealed to them to feed stray animals during the lockdown. This state has also told it's people about the prevention of cruelty to animals act where in relocation or any firm of cruelty towards dogs is an offence.

Delhi too saw police personnel's helping the animal welfare NGOs in feeding the stray animals in the south Delhi area.

But what about the municipal corporation of Delhi?

Isn't COVID 19 a challenge for all the states alike? Or is it discriminatory? Will it treat the corporation workers  of Jammu, Jaipur or Kochi any differently?  Or are their dogs and other animals any different from dogs and animals of Delhi, Mumbai or any other city?

Then why is the Municipal Corporations of other cities of India doing nothing for these voiceless souls.

Is it really the fault of the corporation or the fault of the leadership?

In  Kerala in  the year 2015 the leadership and it's municipal corporation chose to butcher the dogs to death and today the state's leadership and it's municipal corporation  have chosen to feed the dogs and protect it's life......

The following incident took place in Chandigarh (capital of Haryana and Punjab) where two puppies had fallen into a ditch. And who saved the puppies? Watch the video to see the saviours.

Today India feels proud of it's government representatives whether it be the Chief ministers, policemen or corporation officers.

We salute their initiative and their selfless efforts in saving the voiceless.....
