It's been more than 16 days now and Shera is still not back home.
Just a few days back Anita (M-9716308312) had rescued two siblings Bhoori and Laali after they were relocated by two men of her colony.
Another victim of relocation this time was Shera. According to Anita he was relocated in the month of November last year by one of residents of her colony. He was removed on 15th November and Anita after a lot of searching got him back on 20th November.
This man with the help of few people has again relocated Shera. He has been removed from the area on either 24th or 25th December and Anita came to know of it on 31 December.
Anita stays in Manokaamna Apartment, Sector 4A, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. The apartment has 15 blocks. Anita stays in Block 3 and Shera used to stay in block 15. As soon as she came to know of Shera's removal she lodged a complaint with the police. But till now the police has taken no action. The SHO (M-9643322921) and the Chowki incharge (M- 7017298901) have taken no action inspite of Anita's constant request and appeal.
The accused who has relocated the dog the second time is Sanjeev Kumar Dhawan (M-9871692078) He has no fear of law and he thinks he has done a heroic job. The police has taken no action against this horrible man so one can well imagine that he might be quite influential in his area. Contacts with politicians often result in such bloated egos of commonners in India. Probably Sanjeev must be having good contact with the politicians of his area. It's high time our politicians become law abiding citizens and stop pleasing people for votes.
They should not forget that there are people like Anita too who vote and it's better to win by votes of law abiding citizens than by goons and law breakers.
It's been almost 16 days now and it's freezing cold in Delhi, NCR. The chances of Shera surviving this cold without food is quite dim.
If Shera dies in this cold will Sanjeev be imprisoned for his death?
Had a human child be relocated would the police be sitting on the complaint the way it is sitting now?
Why does our system not take animal welfare laws seriously?
Why can't they have respect for law?
After all law is law whether it be for humans or animals. They have been made for some purpose so by not following them or respecting them we are defeating the very purpose for which they were made.
Why isn't the police taking any action against the accused?
To add to Anita's agony on 31st morning Pradeep Kumar Mishra (M-8527385343) the RWA (Resident welfare Association) President of the colony sent a WhatsApp message to all their residents urging that they all sign the request to get a dog removed from Block 13 as he bites people. The letter also criticises the dog lovers and the caregivers of the colony who are protesting the relocation of the dog and holding them responsible for creating hindrance in its removal.
Will Anita be able to stop her RWA from removing another dog from block 13?
Why doesn't the AWBI ( Animal Welfare Board of India) take any action against such RWA? They are doing something illegal then why aren't they getting any warning from the legal system of India? Such RWAs should be dissolved and debarred. And its members should be disqualified for life from being elected again as member of RWA.
Just how many times will Anita run to the police station and spend countless hours and days finding the relocated dogs?
Why isn't the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation not telling the residents of Ghaziabad the dog laws?
Is lodging of police complaint and fighting with the neighbours and the RWA for the protection and survival of the stray dog the duty of the caregivers alone?
What are the Municipal Corporations doing?
They have not even informed the RWAs of their area about the ABC programme and the dog laws.
That is the bear minimum that they should have done many years back. Lack of awareness and weak enforcement of laws are the two main causes for the plight of stray dogs and the caregivers in India.
