Urvashi (M-8750719644) works with the Directorate of International Customs, govt of India and is a resident of Mayur Vihar, East Delhi
Her love for the dogs started in the month of November 2018 when someone had very mercilessly left 5 puppies near her flat. The puppies were dumped inside a sack and left there to die.
Urvashi took pity on those abandoned and relocated puppies and started taking care of them. And ever since her family has grown from five puppies to around 60 dogs today.
She with her like minded friends Tarushi, Ronit and Yash have made a group called 'Ready to Rescue'. They all reside in East Delhi area and all are in their early twenties. While Urvashi and Tarushi are working, Ronit and Yash are still pursuing their graduation. All four have the same passion for dogs and work with one mission to feed the hungry dogs and give them a better and a happy life devoid of any form of cruelty and misery.
Urvashi and her friends are early risers as they go to feed around 60 dogs in and around their area around 6:30 AM in the morning. Soon after feeding Urvashi and Tarushi go to work and Ronit and Yash go to their respective colleges.
Urvashi feeds around 6 to 7 dogs near her place of work as well.
Their good work doesn't stop there only. They take care of all the medical problems the dogs may have. Right from their injuries to sickness. Every Saturday and Sunday they send the unsterilized dogs for sterilization in their adjoining areas. Till now they have got more than 30 dogs sterilized.
They also get the dogs vaccinated with rabies vaccination and the small puppies with 9 in 1 vaccination. This takes care of life threatening diseases like parvo and distemper which very often small puppies die of.

It's time the RWAs learnt something from these young kids.
The members of RWA are mostly 40 +
These young group of passionate people are just half their age. But they have done in just 2 years time what the RWAs find impossible to do. The RWAs of Delhi in general from time immemorial have been doing just the following:
1 Stop the dog feeders from feeding
2 Relocate or remove the dogs especially puppies from their area
3 Ban the entry of dogs in public parks
4 Indulge in cruelty like beating and killing a dog
5 Write letters to the municipal corporation and the Chief Minister to remove the dogs as they bite them and their children
This is all the RWAs of Delhi in majority do to get rid of dog overpopulation.
What's the point of having such RWA representatives who neither know the dog laws nor have the will to implement the ABC programme in their colony.
It's better such colonies be run by young people like Urvashi and her friends than by the 40 + residents who neither have the vision nor have the wisdom to run their colony in lawful and humane manner.
