Actualización de la peticiónMake India canine rabies free. By implementing ABC rules not Killing, Relocating DogsAct of barbarism and cruelty by the residents of Ashiyana Palm Court

Four days back a stray female dog who was residing in Aashiyana Palm Court ( Raj Nagar Extension), Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR) had delivered four babies.  The residents with the help of the security guards threw the dog out with her babies.

The dog was residing in the apartment and a caregiver Sakshi (M- 7507213787) was taking care of her. She used to give her food in spite of the opposition of the residents.

Under prevention of cruelty to animals act, relocation of dogs from their place and killing or torturing them or stopping caregivers from feeding them are all punishable offences but who cares about laws in this country? Especially animal laws.

That's exactly what the residents did.  Took law into their hands. While Sakshi was away for work the dog with her babies were thrown out of the apartment. This they did with the help of the guards.

What can the guards do? They will always listen to their bosses who have hired them.

Anyhow when Sakshi returned and did not find the dog and her babies she went searching for them. Luckily she found the four babies but could not find the mother. For many hours she searched but still could not find her.

She asked the guards but they didn't tell her anything. She has kept the babies in her home. They have not even opened their eyes as they are only four days old. They need their mother and her milk. Don't know if they will survive. Sakshi is looking for a boarding where she can send the pups.

God knows where the mother is. Is she alive? Have these monsters killed her? God alone knows what has happened to her. If alive she too must be terrified and missing her babies.

What can be more barbaric and cruel than this. Are we really Humans?

According to Sakshi the dog is very docile and shy. She has never bitten anybody.

Then why this monstrous act by the residents?

Unfortunately in India intolerance towards dogs  is increasing day by day.

This is ironical because India is a country where majority are Hindus and they worship Lord Shiva and Kaal Bhairav and give food to dogs as they consider them the companion and vehicle of Kaal Bhairav (another form of Shiva).

Then why is killing, beating and removal of dogs on an increase?

The reason is quite simple:

It is the myth attached with Indian stray dog that it is wild (jungli) and rabid.

This nonsense is there in the minds of almost every Indian. And the government has taken no steps to bust this myth. Both at the centre and at the state levels.

Faulty awareness campaigns about rabies has been happening in the state of Delhi itself.

The second problem is the overpopulation of dogs. This again can be easily solved if the dogs are sterilized.

Sakshi as a caregiver failed to get the dog of her apartment sterilized. So also the RWA of that society.

Whose responsibility was it to inform the public about the dog laws and the ABC programme. Hasn't the Ghaziabad municipal corporation failed in its duty?

Hasn't the animal welfare board of India which is a part of the environment ministry failed in its duty to protect the animals of its country.

And last but not the least hasn't the environment ministry failed?

Environment is not only about trees and forest. It is also about animals. Both in the forest as well as in the human habitat. Dogs and cats are a part of human habitat. Haven't our ministers and policymakers travelled in other countries especially in the west and seen that every third house there has a dog or a cat as a pet. How much people there love and adore them They do not kill them.

Has'nt the environment ministry failed in its duty towards these voiceless souls?

If only the ABC programme was properly implemented in India the four pups  today would have been with their mother. And their mother would have been caressing and feeding her kids just like we humans do with our babies.

There is no difference between an animal and a human. Both feel pain and both cry for their lost babies.
