Hydro is a Light-Blue Ninja from the Lin Kuei, who first appeared in the comic book series Mortal Kombat: Blood & Thunder by Malibu Comics and later appeared in the Live Action Mini Series Mortal Kombat Legacy. He has the ability to control water and to shoot out strong waves of freezing water (cold enough to freeze opponents on impact). In Mortal Kombat: Blood and Thunder, he journeys with his close friend, Sub-Zero (Bi-Han), to take part in the first Mortal Kombat Tournament. While there he is killed by the vengeful wraith Scorpion. In the Live Action Mini Series, he is one of the first Lin Kuei members to be cyberized. He is defeated and killed by both Cyrax and Sektor in Mortal Kombat Legacy. He is a very underutilized character with a lot of potential. If you went with him being a human, it would be interesting to see his relationship with Kuai Liang, since there aren't many characters that have a close relationship with Bi-Han present in most timelines. If you went with him being a cyborg, it would be interesting to see his opinion on the Lin Kuei being split in two by Kuai Liang. Maybe he could still be loyal to the Lin Kuei, and his goal is to kill Kuai Liang. Some may say he is a Rain Clone or a Sub-Zero Clone, but we would have to disagree. Fan games like Mortal Kombat Revelations prove that you can do Hydro and make him different enough from Sub-Zero and Rain to make him his own. Hydro turning his body into liquid or liquid metal (if he’s a cyborg) would be very visually appealing and be an awesome basis for a very original move set. For years, Hydro has been a fan favorite among many people, despite never being in an official game. We think that it’s time for him to finally be playable in an official game. We propose the idea of him becoming either a fighter or kameo in Mortal Kombat 1. Signing this petition wouldn’t only make us happy, it would also make a lot of hardcore Mortal Kombat fans very happy.
