Hi all - quick update.
The proposal to a.) REDUCE the speed limit on the A31, at the approach to Hickley's Corner, from 50mph to 40mph (east to west); and b.) to KEEP what was originally a temporary 40mph speed limit (west to east) has to appear on a publicly available web-portal allowing members of the public to object or support otherwise.
This has gone live. I am sure this type of invitation will receive more people objecting rather than supporting (people are quicker to complain than compliment) and therefore, should you be in support of a 40mph speed limit in both directions, please may I ask you to support here:
Let's continue to campaign for slower speeds surrounding the approach to Hickley's Corner. Very little else has been done otherwise.
Despite (thankfully) there being no further accidents of late, this still remains an extremely dangerous junction.
