If you played Gorilla Tag during the Christmas 2021 update, then you understand our scope. We want a simple Christmas update, with a few things:

1. Gorilla Tag's original assets/map layouts used in the 2021 Christmas update, as much as possible.

We understand Gorilla Tag can't simply just revert everything. Things like the City update and Monke Blocks can't just be undone (nor do we want it to be), but things like textures and map updates (mostly Forest's decorations, with the classic Christmas tree next to the gazebo and simple design throughout, and the simple sky assets that gave the game the lo-fi Nintendo 64 style it once had. The lighting style is also something that made the game memorable and gave it the charm it had as well.

If we go for a "nostalgic" aspect, we could also do things like take out the lamp posts, as subtle things like this really add to the effect.

2. Simplicity

Every seasonal update, Gorilla Tag tends to add a gimmick that only stays in the game, however this year we are asking to do without those gimmicks.

Our goal is to give players a taste of what Gorilla Tag is all about, and amidst the updates every year, gimmicks tend to be a big part of the updates, with last years' being the shrink areas. While these feel fun at first, we feel it causes players to stray away from the game's core, and takes away the sense of community from everyone playing a game of tag.

So, if you want this to happen, there's 3 steps you take

1. Sign the petition, and share it within the Discord and with your friends. If we want Gorilla Tag to hear us, we can't keep it to ourselves. Ping @abnumality with ideas you want to make the game feel more OG, and express what you liked about old Gorilla Tag. We want this to be WIDESPREAD to make an impact.
2. MAKE VIDEOS! Shorts, TikToks, long form videos, anything you could do to express what you liked and spread the petition
3. Share the petition again. I can't express how much strength there is in numbers, and how much of an impact we could make to get what we want if we share it with EVERYONE we can
