It ain’t over ‘til it’s over!

First Reading of the Foxland Harbor Marina Project in it’s latest configuration

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 6 pm

Gallatin City Hall

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The council has not given final approval yet. Last Tuesday’s meeting was only a working session. The City Council voted to place this marina proposal on the agenda for its First Reading on Tuesday, August 19.

👉 Citizens will be allowed five minutes each to speak out against this oversized and dangerous marina project.

We must not give up. Tomorrow evening, we need to pack the City Hall chamber and keep asking our City Council the real question: Do you work for us, or for developer Bob Goodall?

Your voices have already made a difference. Public pushback has been strong, and past meetings prove that consistent resident engagement can lead to changes.

But we must continue to show up. Please attend Citizens’ Comments and share your concerns about the project’s size and impact, especially on local traffic.

Here’s what we know:

In 2023, the City Council approved a marina—but not the promised Community Boat Dock with 100 slips for Fairvue and Foxland residents.
The current proposal is too large, too noisy, and too dangerous for our neighborhoods.
The developer’s idea of a four-way stop on Douglas Bend  earned a failing grade of F from the city’s own  traffic engineer.
The developer’s alternative idea includes a roundabout directly in front of Foxland Harbor’s entrance receiving a letter D grade from the city traffic engineer.

This is simply unacceptable.

We have the power to influence this decision—but only if we show up. Please join us tomorrow evening and make your voice heard.

Together, we can protect our community.

Who Does the Council Serve?
Residents deserve to know: Ask our city officials who they  represent, you, the citizens, or the developer?

Ask our city officials to protect the character, safety, and promises made to our neighborhoods.

Demand they vote NO on this oversized marina!

When you call or email, please be respectful, firm, and focused on the facts.
