On Monday, June 16, 2025, WSMV Channel 4 confirmed that developer Bob Goodall has officially submitted final site plans for the Foxland Harbor Marina project to the Gallatin Planning Commission.
Despite overwhelming public opposition, the new proposal still includes:
112 condominiums
200 wet slips
A restaurant
A ship store
Assorted shops and eateries
A central pavilion for concerts and events
While we acknowledge that Goodall has withdrawn plans for the 8-story hotel and the 5-story commercial dry-dock storage facility, this revised plan remains deeply unacceptable.
This project would still overwhelm local roads, increase traffic congestion, and place enormous strain on infrastructure. The sheer size and scope continue to threaten the natural beauty and ecological balance of Old Hickory Lake—a shared community treasure.
The residents of Douglass Bend, Foxland, and Fairvue have been clear from the beginning:
We do not want this marina expansion in our backyard.
We are not backing down. This is not a compromise—it is a repackaged version of the same reckless development that prioritizes profit over people.
WE MUST STAY ENGAGED. Make no mistake, our voices are the only reason the worst parts of the project were removed. The fight is not over.
Stay tuned. We will be sharing next steps and critical details ahead of the upcoming Planning Commission meeting. Plan to attend the Monday, June 23 at 5 pm at Gallatin City Hall.
Together, we will protect our homes, our lake, and our way of life.
