Make Franklin Park accessible for everyone

Make Franklin Park accessible for everyone
The Issue
For decades, Franklin Park has been an integral part of my life and the lives of so many in our community. I've attended numerous events, concerts, and parties there, cherishing each moment spent with neighbors and friends amidst the green lawns and under the shady trees. Franklin Park has not just been a park; it's been a community hub, a cultural landmark, and a beacon of unity for generations.
However, recent changes have dampened this spirit. The enforcement of racing activities has inadvertently locked many of us out of our beloved space. Franklin Park was always meant to be a place for everyone, where people from all walks of life could gather and enjoy what nature has to offer. The current situation, with restricted access and usage, undermines the very essence of what the park represents and what it means to all of us.
The community deserves unrestricted access to Franklin Park, ensuring that it remains a space where we can hold events, celebrate milestones, and foster communal ties without hindrance. By signing this petition, you will be supporting the demand for the city of Boston to reconsider current policies that exclude our community from fully enjoying the park. We ask that the city restores Franklin Park to its status as a communal space for everyone, a sanctuary for leisure, recreation, and community bonding.
Let's stand together to ensure that Franklin Park remains a place of inclusivity, where future generations can continue to create memories and enjoy the cultural and recreational activities it has always provided. Please sign this petition and help us reclaim our park for the entire community.
