Hi, My name is Jasper. I am Male, this may not make sense to you why I am trying to make Feminine Hygiene Products free. So here is my story, when I was little my Mom was a single parent, we didn't have lots of money but we had some money, I always felt bad because we didn't have lots of money and because everything is so expensive, ever since that day that I researched it, I have wanted to make them free, not just for who ever to take but for Women to take.

 

People would have an easier job of getting off of the streets and into Homes/Apartments. Because they wouldn't have to spend so much on them.

 

 

The average cost of a box of Tampons cost $7 at a rate of about 9 boxes a year, so $63 a year until you're about 53-54. so during a Woman's lifetime that $3,402 

 

The average box of Pads cost $6 a box, and about 12 boxes a year, so that is $3,818 during a Woman's lifetime. Now, just imagine if you had 2 Teens living with you, they use Pads, that means that you are spending almost $4,478 depending on how long they live with you.

 

 

The Government spent over $5 BILLION on all of the Covid-19 shots,  so why can't they give Feminine Hygiene Products Producers a couple Million to fund them for a bit? Women are in desperate need of these Products, especially the homeless. Because these Products are so expensive, homeless Women are not able to buy them, for then, you can get infections, and many other things. 

 

 

Now if the Canadian Government makes them free, they would have to make them so you would have to ask, or just put a limit on how many you take, because then people would stock up, and take too many, and then not leave any for anyone else. 

 

 

If I lose this petition, I will keep fighting for what I and others believe in!
