As a community we have seen so many accidents and near misses on these roads, mostly concerning the crossings on the a379 and the lack thereof on Elm Grove Road. Councillors have previously requested Devon County Council to urgently review the safety issues and listen to the community but very little was done by the Council and the accidents continue. 

Over 1100 children gain access to educational establishments in the area each morning and the road is also busy with commuters. 

After another serious accident this week, we have to ask, yet again, for DCC to act quickly to avoid further injuries. 

We want an urgent safety review and allocation of funds thereafter to significantly improve safety without delay, using proven, preventative measures.
