I am a passionate player of Counter Strike Source, a game that has brought me countless hours of enjoyment. However, I've noticed that the number of active players has been dwindling. This is a concern for me and many others who love this game and want to see its community thrive.

Counter Strike Source is currently priced at $19.99AUD on Steam, which can be prohibitive for some potential players (Steam, 2021). By making it free to play, we would open up the game to a wider audience and breathe new life into its online community.

In recent years, several popular games have transitioned to free-to-play models with great success. For example, Team Fortress 2 went free in 2011 and saw its player base increase by more than five times within the first year (PC Gamer Magazine, 2012).

By making Counter Strike Source free-to-play not only will it attract new players but also revive old ones thus creating a vibrant gaming community once again.

I urge Valve Corporation – the developer and publisher of Counter Strike Source – to consider this proposal seriously for the benefit of all current and future fans of this beloved game.
