This Labor Day Weekend: Take the Caring Costs Survey

Hello Caregivers and Caregiver Advocates:

734 of you have signed this petition. Every one of you knows what the nameless thing feels like.

This weekend I am asking you to do one more thing: take the survey.

casiadvocacy.org/research

The Colorado Commission on Medicaid meets September 17 - twelve days from today. I need pilot data before that meeting. If every petition signer took the survey this weekend, we would walk in with 734 responses. That would be extraordinary. But even if 3% of you respond - that is meaningful evidence the Commission has never seen before.

This is the dispatch is about the moment that has no name in any HR manual, any tax code, any legal framework anywhere. The pivot. The swap. The simultaneous management of two people's needs at ten o'clock at night while holding down a full-time job.

My wife pivots to her mother's insulin pump. I pivot to mine. When it is done - when Rose is settled and the alarm is set and the lights are off - I go back to whatever I was doing before.

My employer has no idea this happened.

The Caring Costs Survey was built to give that moment a name. A legal name. One that appears in statute and carries enforcement.

It is live now - in English and in Spanish. casiadvocacy.org/research

Four modules. Anonymous. No account required.
Caregivers - Module 1 starts with 90 seconds and one open question. Policy-engaged caregivers - Module 3 maps your experience to the Commission's December 11 report. Employers and HR - Module 4 shapes what the law looks like from your side.

Colorado responses go directly to the Commission on Medicaid before December 11. Caregivers everywhere - take it. The broader the evidence base, the more undeniable the argument.

Your signatures on this petition are part of the same argument. 734 of you have already said: this work is real, the expertise is real, Colorado can build what the law has not yet built.

266 more to reach 1,000. Share this with one person today. Not five. One.
