Cleveland is expanding the sports industry with their own MLS team as well as 2 possible NWSL and WNBA teams. With the city planning to begin the inaugural MLS tournament next year and the Browns moving to a new stadium at Brook Park in 2029, hopefully Cleveland will become the destination for the 2036 Summer Olympics. If approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), then the soon to be former Browns stadium in Downtown Cleveland will transform into the official Olympic stadium. This would also become the fourth Summer Olympics destination (if possible) to take place in the United States as well as the seventh Olympics destination overall. Cleveland could also be the first ever Olympics to be held in the Midwestern United States (if possible). When Cleveland becomes the home for the 2036 Summer Olympics, then it'll be the next generation for Olympic history.
