Car racing and car meet ups are terrorising the neighbours in our brand new residential area in Milton Keynes every weekend. These cars drive up the pedestrian pathways, people’s driveways and front gardens, so they are damaging private property. The drivers use our driveways and front gardens to urinate, which is antisocial behaviour. They litter and leave empty bottles of alcohol here. When locals have tried to confront them, drivers have tried to run them over, which is a crime.

These cars block entire residential roads and the entrance to our estate for hours, therefore if there was an emergency we couldn’t get in or out of the estate. This is very unsafe for all the residents here. Drivers rev their engines loudly late at nights, so our babies and children wake up in fear.

This is criminal behaviour, antisocial behaviour, and public disturbance and should be made illegal before someone is killed.

We moved here hoping to create a safe community for us and our children, however every weekend hundreds of cars come here to meet up and race. Some of these cars are clearly illegal or stolen. Some drivers are clearly under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Some drivers and participants are clearly minors.

Last night was the worst meet up we’ve ever seen, and we fear that if this keeps being allowed, it will escalate to the point that someone will die. We are scared for us and our children. This is a tragedy waiting to happen and we just want to put an end to it once and for all.

Please we ask for your support in helping us keeping our streets, community and children safe. Please sign and share the petition to make these car meet ups and car racing illegal in residential areas. You could save a life by doing so.
