The issue

The Australian Tax system is currently squeezing the life out of my Small Business. While I and other Small Business owners contribute our fair share to the economy by paying taxes proportionally, Large Corporations, especially in the Gas and Mining sectors, are exploiting legal loopholes to minimize their tax obligations. This not only places an undue burden on small businesses but also deprives the Australian economy of much-needed revenue.

For years, companies in the resource sector have been under scrutiny for not paying their fair share of taxes. According to the Australian Taxation Office, some of these large corporations contribute significantly less, in proportion to their earnings, than average Australian workers. This disparity is not only unfair but unsustainable. While Our businesses are swallowed up by tax dept.

The government needs to close tax loopholes and ensure that these corporations are paying taxes proportional to their income, just like Small business taxpayers. An equal increase in the tax contribution from these corporations could lead to significant improvements in public services and infrastructure - benefiting everyone in Australia.

Making multinational corporations accountable will level the playing field for small businesses and ensure a fair distribution of the tax burden. Australia should prioritize economic fairness and sustainability by adjusting the taxation policies for big businesses, especially in the lucrative gas and mining sectors.

By addressing this issue, we can not only save small businesses like ours from financial hardship but also invest in a fairer and more equitable future for our country. Join me in calling on the government to enact tax reforms that require Big business, Gas, and Mining companies to pay their fair share.

Tax rate in Australia for the 2025-26 financial year is 45% for income above $190,000. The tax brackets are as follows:
$0 – $18,200: No tax
$18,201 – $45,000: Taxed at 16%
$45,001 – $135,000: Taxed at 30%
$135,001 – $190,000: Taxed at 37%
Above $190,000: Taxed at 45%.

45% TAX ON THESE SECTORS WOULD SECURE AUSTRALIA FUTURE

WE PAY IT WHY DON'T THEY?
