Make big bike jumps in Redlands!

Make big bike jumps in Redlands!
The issue
Redland City has a strong and growing mountain biking community, but there are currently no dedicated facilities that cater to riders looking for large jump lines and advanced progression features. Existing riding areas such as the Redlands Track Park mainly focus on cross-country and trail riding rather than purpose-built jump facilities.
We are calling on Redland City Council to build a dedicated mountain bike jump park featuring large, professionally designed dirt jumps that cater to intermediate and advanced riders. The facility should include:
Large tabletop jumps
Progressive jump lines of increasing difficulty
Advanced jump trails for experienced riders
Dirt jump and slopestyle-style features
Safe run-ins, landings, and maintenance programs
Areas for riders to learn and progress safely
Many local riders currently travel outside the Redlands to find quality jump facilities, taking potential recreation and tourism opportunities away from our community. A purpose-built jump park would provide a safe, legal, and sustainable location for riders while reducing the need for unofficial jump construction in bushland areas.
This project would:
Give local riders access to world-class jump facilities.
Encourage healthy outdoor recreation.
Support youth engagement and skill development.
Attract visitors from across South East Queensland.
Position Redland City as a leading mountain biking destination.
We urge Redland City Council to invest in a dedicated bike jump park with genuinely large jumps that challenge experienced riders and provide a place for the next generation of mountain bikers to progress their skills safely.
