Police Body Cameras are only required in 7 of the 50 states in the United States. Statistics have proven that police cameras provide helpful information involved with crimes, improves safety for a community, protects both sides of a situation, increases in police accountability and citizen accountability, helps de-escalate confrontational situations, reduce liability, and can be used as evidence. 93% of police equipped with a camera received less complaints, there was a 39% increase of early guilty pleas, and  59% of reduction of police using force. I have studied this topic for my Government final project and it was important to me to do something that could provide change!
