Hi Super Supporters!

On Tuesday I met with decision maker Superdrug. I went to meet their representatives at their headquarters in Croydon to deliver the petition and talk to them about the campaign.

In the meeting I spoke to them about the campaign, the unnecessary plastic content in their own-brand period products, the impacts and why we need to stop it at source.

I also spoke to them about stopping the production of their own-brand plastic tampon applicators, as it is one of the first steps, they can take towards becoming plastic free. They don’t currently have any alternatives available in-store, I raised the need for eco-friendly tampons, pads and reusables to be on their shelves, to give customers access to choice.

Superdrug’s representatives were happy to hear more about the campaign and responded to it positively. They were very receptive to the suggestions I made, and the supporters concerns that I raised. They told me about the changes that they are looking to make, which I can’t share at this time.

They have committed to an open dialogue and will keep me informed about changes they make. I will keep you updated with news as and when it happens.
