Hi Super Supporters,
After the announcement of period poverty funding by the UK Government, I was concerned that the fund would be spent on mainstream brands that contain high amounts of plastic. Which is why in April I asked you to join me in taking action by contacting the Department of Education, to urge them to use the fund on eco-friendly menstrual products.
Last month I met with Caroline Lucas, to raise my concerns about how the fund would most likely be spent. We have since worked together on an Early Day Motion, to raise awareness of this issue and show that by using the fund on eco-friendly menstrual products we can tackle period poverty, the plastic crisis and protect the environment simultaneously.
Today I’m asking you to please contact your local MP, asking them to sign the Early Day Motion below, we need as many MPs to support this as possible!
You can find your local MP and their email here: https://bit.ly/2a4tav8

Dear (Your MP),
I am contacting you as one of your constituents to ask you to please sign this Early Day Motion for the Procurement of Eco-friendly Menstrual Products to End Period Poverty in Schools.
By using the period poverty fund on eco-friendly menstrual products, the Government would tackle period poverty, the plastic crisis and protect the environment simultaneously, which is why I am asking you to sign this important EDM.
Yours sincerely,

Thank you as always for your continued support, there will be more action happening soon.
Ella :)
