Hi super supporters!
The campaign has been going for a whole year! From growing to over 107K signatures in less than 12 months to being featured in multiple articles including Vogue and Forbes, what a year it’s been!
To date we have taken action and called on Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lil-Lets and currently P&G to take responsibility for the unnecessary plastic in their products and to make change happen by going plastic-free. The action we have been taking has already made a difference, with both supermarkets responding to this by stocking eco-friendly alternatives including reusables nationwide!
The campaign has been received so positively and has gained an overwhelming amount of support since it’s start a year ago. The action we have taken and continue to take really is making a difference; it’s starting conversations, raising awareness and putting pressure on manufacturers and supermarkets, because they simply can’t ignore consumer demand!
All of this would not be possible without you, so I want to thank you for signing, for raising your voices, for your support and for continuing to take action with me!
Update on P&G: I called P&G last week regarding the campaign and the issue of plastic in Tampax and Always as well as why we haven’t had any response to the emails that we’ve sent to them and I also requested a meeting to discuss this issue with them further in person. The person that I spoke to at P&G is going to update me by the middle of this week (tomorrow) about whether they will be able to meet me and when this could be. I will update you as soon as I know more!
Thank you for your continued support!
Ella :)
