Make 377 Safer! Request TxDOT Traffic Study of 377 in Whitesboro, Texas
The Issue
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in major and minor traffic accidents (including multiple fatalities) along Highway US 377 in Whitesboro. As a main north-south thoroughfare in Grayson County, Highway US 377 can no longer safely accommodate the amount of cars on the road, given the unprecedented population growth of the past few years.
The ultimate solution would be to convert US 377 to a 4-lane divided highway, but in the meantime, it is CRUCIAL for TxDOT to consider adding:
- Left Turn Lane
- Signal Lights at County Roads
- Blinking Lights
- Additional signage
