Ringwood is about to be overdeveloped. The Victorian Government is proposing up to 6 storey developments in the catchment areas around the Activity Centre without sufficient consultation or community consent. We are all for sustainable and affordable housing for all Victorians, but there is no justification to increase density in the catchments given the Activity Centre can fit all of the homes the government wants to build in Ringwood. The community deserves a better consultation process and a genuine plan, as these are significant changes that will alter the beautiful streetscapes and the liveability of the suburb forever.

For additional information, the original Ringwood Master Plan developed by Maroondah Council, which the state government has largely ignored outlines the proposed housing in the Activity Centre, which is more than enough to meet the housing targets, removing the need to disrupt the catchment areas.
