Hey .everyone. My wife and I thank you for your continued support. It seems we may need it now more than ever to help spread this injustice that has been done to us. They denied our motion for post trial relief. So as it stands we have to pay 20 grand in fines and fees for missing a appeal deadline which was purposely set up for us to miss by the zoning officer. When we were served our zoning violation it told us to take steps to correct violoations or appeal to the zoning hearing board and since we didnt know what exactly we did wrong we went the very next day to correct the issues. We were told to fill out a zoning apllication for commercial use. We did not want to file for commercial use. We called the zoning office for 2 weeks before we got through to him and his only response fill out the application. He wouldn't come out to our property and discuss what violations we had and what we needed to do to fix . them. We told him again we did not have a business and did not want to file for a commercial zoning permit. It didn't matter what we said. We returned the application on the 30th to start complying not knowing what else to do and had no help from the township or zoning officer to do so correctly. The secretary told us it didn't matter if we did it wrong we could just appeal his decision about our application. 2 weeks go by and our application is returned saying it couldnt be accepted it was incomplete. We called the zoning officer again asking what he wanted from us. He said its too late now you have passed your 30 days to appeal. the next thing we know we are being sued in court for violating the uniform code in PA and all this other bogus stuff. We started looking for a lawyer but were unable to obtain one until the Friday before our 1st hearing at the magistrate. We asked the magistrate for a continuance as our lawyer was already due in court elsewhere. We were denied because it was to close to the hearing. So my wife and i went to hearing not knowing what to expect. We again asked for a continuance so we could have proper legal representation the judge gave the township and us a few minutes to discuss things and to talk about continuing leaving it up to the township to decide if they wanted to continue it. After we started talking it became clear the zoning officer never even stepped foot on our property and was using pictures off our social media websites for evidence which had a flyer on it for a grand opening party we had. the flyer had a donation price. It wasnt at all like they made it seem. We run a nonprofit organization to help build skateparks for communities the donations went to the bands for driving to play there and the rest to support local skateparks. We have all of our paperwork to ask for donations in this state. they also had a picture of a shirt for the concrete jungle for sale. But its not a crime to have an online store and sell merchandise. We own the name. The money if you bought a shirt bought more mud for the park. We have never made $1 here profit. You could drive by here on any given day and see we werent open to the public. This place is my own personal piece of heaven. The pictures were the only evidence he had. How can you violate someone without even being on their property to take measurements and write notes and specifically state what we did wrong. We didn't change our use of land. I have skaeboarded on this property for over 15 years long before I owned it.  This peticular zoning officer is known for these bs attempts to assert his authority. Well after we started to make the arbitrator realize all these things he decided to not give us a continuance knowing full well he had us on a technicality by missing the 30 day appeal deadline. Because if you miss it you are GUILTY NO MATTER WHAT. What kind of crap is that. We were misled and made to miss that deadline on purpose because he had no evidence. No one cared , no one listened every time we told a judge or had court we said the same thing but no one heard us. Now they want us to pay them 20 grand for something we didnt do and take down stuff in our yard that have been here before we bought the property and stop using the concrete jungle name. They cant do this. My wife and I are done trying to keep the borough happy. The gloves are coming off. This is our backyard. We arent hurting anyone. They dont have the right to tell us what recreational sport i can play in my back yard. They dont have the right to tell me I cant use the name concrete jungle when i own it and having an online store isnt illegal. We are ready to reach out to the media so our story can be heard. We arent sure whats gonna happen next or if we can even fight the motion being denied. We are still looking for a lawyer to help. If theres a will theres a way and my wife and I pack the best 1 - 2 punch when it comes to overcoming obstacles. I hope the borough and zoning officer are ready because no way in hell are we backing down from this injustice and no way in hell am i paying 20 grand for something im not even guilty of and NO WAY IN HELL AM I TEARING OUT MY SKATEPARK.
