End KCK BSL

The Issue

I want to end the BSL in Kansas city Kansas because I feel it has failed to improve public safety and has not decreased the amount of dog bites. It's important to evaulate each dog as an individual despite breed. Pit bulls have long been a popular choice as family pets noted for there loyalty, gentleness, and affection. They rank in the top five most stable dogs and are so patient with children. Even those bred to fight other animals were not prone to aggressiveness towards humans beings as they were routinely handled by them. Reality being any breed can develop agressive traits. We may affectively address the danger posed by these dogs by supporting and enforcing the laws that focus not in breed but on peoples responsibility for they're dogs behavior, including supervising & controlling they're animal. Leash laws prohibit dogs from running loose of their owners property and anti-chaining laws can control the behavior of individual dogs and thereby reduce risk of harm to people or other animals. Laws banning particular breeds do not achieve these aims but instead create an illusion of public safety.
