LSU minorities all around the world recently LSU stayed “we at LSU condemn hate and bigotry in any form, including racially incendiary remarks. As a state university, however, we are subject to constitutional limitation on our ability to take action in response to free speech”. After responding to a video of an incoming freshman student saying on camera “I hate niggers”. Which is not freedom of speech but is in fact hate speech. This shows that LSU does not care about their fellow black and minorities on and off campus so why should you care about them? The only way for the school to listen to our voice is to sign petitions and hurt their pockets so, why not hit two birds with one stone? I want all LSU minority athletes to sit out until LSU starts treating our lives and our voices with dignity and respect. Ja’marr Chase is loved by all LSU fans when he’s on the field but what if he never wore the jersey? What if you didn’t recognize him? Would you think lowly of him or would you treat him the same as today? If he were to sit out and LSU would start loosing due to his own personal beliefs would you care or would you take him seriously and help him through a hard time? Either way no one likes to lose money no matter if it’s 5 Dollars or 5 million dollars. So please LSU students and people all over the world help us fight racism and discrimination on and off campus so we worry about school and get our education rather than worrying about our backs every time we walk past Middleton Library.
