I checked today that we have 75 signatures. I know that 75 is not a milestone but it is 3/4 of our next one of 100. This petition seems to be slower at gathering signatures than my one that is about making election day a federal holiday I created not long after this one that currently has 129 signatures, so that seems a little more popular. Especially what I see on social media that lowering the voting age is more controversial. But still, it could be good to still push on with it as I feel like that it makes sense as that people could start working at 16 and taxes are always taken out from everyone's paychecks and it could be what they used to  say, no taxation without representation. Everyone who gets taxed should have a say of how those taxes are used. 16 and 17 year olds who work could have part of their paychecks get taken out for taxes just like everyone who's older than them who works. They should still be able to have a bit of a say in it by voting in elections. I especially speak in terms for living here in Michigan. 16 year olds could legally drive and our roads here in Michigan may not be the best and how to fix quite a lot of our roads is through taxes as it's through the government. I feel like this petition could do better and that we could get more signatures. Every update I could possibly give more of a reason why it should happen. I give more of my experience and how my local area effects it and what could happen if we could get it to happen. Sometimes just updating for a holiday would be good enough. Putting the signature count at the time I do the update will really help show how much the petition has grown when looking at the update section and even putting the next goal we have on the website could be a good motivator as it could show how much we could have to go. Good to motivate everyone to share as much to reach that goal. Get more signatures to make it more likely to happen.
