Lower the Age for Social Security to Reflect Decreasing Life Expectancy

Lower the Age for Social Security to Reflect Decreasing Life Expectancy
The Issue
I've been working since I was 13 Rose farm picking corn strawberries and working farms..
then opened my company when I turned 20 Siding windows doors and trim so I know about working with no money in my pocket and having the up and down sessions.
I, like many of you, have seen families struggle with the financial burden of maintaining employment beyond the current retirement age. It's a personal affair for me, a continuous narrative that echoes, "People B4 profits." We live in an epoch where global life expectancy has declined. An analysis by the World Health Organization shows that global life expectancy fell by around six months in just 2020 (WHO, 2021). Yet instead of lowering the age threshold for social security, the conversation is about raising it. This is contrary to working for the betterment of families and the people.
Consider this, as the existing system remains, an increasing number of families are left with little or no chance to enjoy retirement. Each day is spent on the grindstone, not for the welfare of the family, but for the system at large. This derails the essence of what social security should stand for and puts undue pressure on older individuals within our society.
Whatever our jobs or backgrounds, everyone deserves to enjoy a secure and comfortable retirement. We must revise the policy and adjust the age of social security benefits, not increase it. The numbers and experiences do not support this notion.
Show your agreement with this urgent call for change. Let's lower the age for social security, to reflect our changing world, lessen the burden on our citizens, and prioritize "people before profits." Sign the petition to make this happen!
