Since the traffic light was taken down at the intersection of Burbank and East Boyd Drive, myself and many of my coworkers have witnessed a car wreck almost every day and sometimes 2 to 3 times a day at the same intersection. Today, two car accidents occurred within 15 minutes of each other and a police officer told me that the average number of car accidents at that intersection is one per day. It has caused so much heartache to see so many people get hurt and rushed to the hospital and along with that, the victims all have to deal with being without a vehicle and paying for repairs. The number of car accidents would greatly decrease if the city returned the traffic lights to the intersection of Burbank and East Boyd drive.
