Ten point grading scale in Louisiana

The Issue

Many states are under a ten-point grading scale with Louisiana being one of exception. A ten-point grading scale would allow the child's GPA to be more appealing to colleges because what is a 92B would be a 92A. We are so behind in this state as well as statistics saying we perform poorly. For example, with the current seven-point grading scale we may be considered a "D" state in education but if we were to convert to a ten-point grading scale, there are possibilities of us being a "C" or even a "B" state for that manner. The change in the grading scale would allow more opportunities for scholarships and a drop in remediation for high school as well as college. Please support this petition for better opportunities for our children and to add encouragement to our teachers for a job well done! Thanks in advance.
